We might be a little biased, but Kerry really is one of the most beautiful places in the world and we hope you can enjoy at least some of what it has to offer while you’re there.

If you’re making the trip then we highly recommend visiting Killarney National Park (a 20 minute drive from Sheen Falls) and enjoying the sites and views it has to offer. If you’re flying into Kerry you can take the scenic route and drive through the park en route to Kenmare. Don’t try it in the dark though, especially if you’re not used to mountain roads.

Kenmare itself sits on the Wild Atlantic Way, a 1,600 mile coastal driving route along the West Coast of Ireland. If you’re really making a trip of it, then this will take your breath away. But if you don’t have that kind of time, you should try a part of the route - the Ring of Kerry - a 4-hour scenic drive across the Kerry coast and mountains. Even with unpredictable October weather, you won’t be disappointed.

Sheen Falls also has some beautiful grounds and walks you can enjoy if you’re staying on site. Be sure to get a pic by the rushing waterfalls where the Sheen River flows into Kenmare Bay.
